Apple Series 7 Watch: Where to buy it

Apple introduced last September the new generation of Apple Watch Series 7 watches, which maintain the rounded edge design, something that had been speculated to change in this new edition, in order to align with the new generation of iPhone 13 and the new 24-inch iMac M1s.

It has been more than 6 year since the launch of the first original Apple Watch and, during this period, the Apple smartwatch has undergone significant internal changes with the arrival of the Cellular version, larger screens and more powerful sensors.

However, the design of the different Apple Watch seems to have remained unchanged with the case of all of them rounded, the crown leading the handling to facilitate scrolling through the different apps, as well as the function button with which we can access the functions most demanded.

What is the price of the new Apple Watch Series 7?

All Apple Watch Series 7 models now presented, are already in reserve mode from October 8. The products can be purchased through Apple's website to guarantee the availability of the first units scheduled for October 15.

The price of the most basic model in configuration starts at € 429 and can be purchased with an aluminum case in 5 different colors (blue, green, midnight, star white and aluminum) with a sports loop or Solo Loop for a price of 429 €. If you opt for the braided loop strap, its price increases € 50.

Apple has decided to keep the Apple Watch Series 3 for sale as well as the Apple Watch SE that the company put on sale last year. In this way, the offer is the most varied in terms of functionality and sizes of the sphere.

For its part, the new watchOS 8 operating system is already available through an update since last September 21, so compatible Apple Watch watches can proceed with their installation. Not all the features offered by the version are available on all watches.

Apple Watch Series 7: What's New

The latest  Apple  Watch  continues to offer innovative tools related to health and well-being, such as the ECG heart rate sensor, in addition to the sensor responsible for carrying out measurements of oxygen levels in the blood.

Stronger screen

Now we know that the new Apple Watch Series 7 keep the edges rounded but arrive with a subtle difference in the size of their screens that are now 41 and 45 mm compared to the 40 and 44 mm that the Series 6 had.

This small difference, together with substantial changes related to the thinner edges of only 1.7 mm, mean that we can now have the Apple smartwatch with the largest display screen.

The interface has been optimized to take advantage of dimensions, with two other larger font sizes and a new QWERTY keyboard so you can type by touching or sliding your finger with QuickPath to type with just the swipe of your finger.

Something that the company highlighted during the presentation last September is in the glass of the watch screen, which has a stronger and more robust geometry that makes the glass up to 50% more resistant than the screens of previous generations as is the case with the Apple Watch Series 6.

According to Apple, the new Watch Series 7 is more durable by including a more resistant screen with IPX6 certification and guaranteeing water resistance with submersions of up to 50 meters (WR50).

Fast charging battery

The battery section has also been enhanced, now adding support for super fast wireless charging that allows the Series 7 to charge up to 33% faster than what the Series 6 supported. This makes it possible to fully charge your battery in just 45 minutes.

The new generation of Apple Watch Series 7 debuts with the watchOS 8 operating system that incorporates dials specially designed for the larger screen. The new Contour dial scrolls the dial just to the edge of the screen and plays an animation by giving the time.

Apple has also highlighted the new features of Wallet and Home in order to allow users to easily access the car and automate tasks associated with home or office.

Another great novelty associated with the Apple Watch Series 7 is that the Apple Fitness + service will be available before the end of the year in various countries, including Spain, a service designed to offer training and help sports through different programs of training.
